Please join the Edelman Institute and the Health Equity Institute for a Town Hall/Community-Science Dialogue on the Empower Latino Youth (ELAYO) project - a research, training, and advocacy project to support Latin@ youth to achieve their educational aspirations while ensuring their sexual and reproductive health and rights. We will be viewing and discussing a short documentary produced by the HEI & Cinema Department┐s Documentaries for Social Justice ┐ Body Republics ┐ which explores the political context of Latina youth sexuality and reproductive justice through the experience of a young Latina mother. The film will be followed by a brief presentation of findings from ELAYO by the Project Director, Elodia Villase˝or, MPH, and Research Assistant, Vanessa Mercado, MPH. Open discussion will be geared toward implications for research and practice.
