Takis S. Pappas gives a guest lecture on the rise of political extremism in Greece. Ever since what is now known as "the Greek crisis" begun in 2008, Greece has teetered between instability and collapse. With a bankrupt economy, the old party system in ruins, and its society in a shambles, this European country is now faced with the rise of neo-populism and political extremism. Co-sponsored by the SF State Political Science Department, Hellenic Studies Program at Simon Fraser University and the West Coast Modern Greek Studies programs' consortium.
