Producer, writer and director Christopher Munch's startlingly original and visually stunning independent features have won major awards at Sundance and Berlin and screened worldwide. His feature films include "Color of a Brisk and Leaping Day," "Harry and Max," "The Sleepy Time Gal" and "The Hours and Times," which appeared on numerous 10 Best and Best of Decade lists. Munch was a 1994 Guggenheim Fellow and received the Independent Filmmaker Project's 1996 Someone to Watch Award. This event is part of the Cinema Department's fall speaker and master-class series. Cinema students and the Bay Area community will engage expert filmmakers and designers in rigorous discourse.
