Jesse Moss, founder of Mile End Films production company ("Speedo," "Full Battle Rattle," "Con Man"), will focus on directing and the production process of nonfiction films, specifically those that are politically charged. The master class will include a screening of "Full Battle Rattle" and clips from National Geographic's "Extreme Civil War Re-enactors."
The event is part of the Documentary Film Institute's fall master-class series. Cinema students and the Bay Area community will have the opportunity to engage documentary filmmakers in rigorous filmmaking discourse from experts. The series revolves around the pre-production process of making a documentary film from concept and social activism to funding and producing.
