The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festivals is an opportunity for students (5th-12th grade) to explore mathematical problem solving in a safe non-competitive environment. To achieve this goal we fill a room (the SF State Gym) with tables and mathematicians. Each table will have a different math problem and a mathematician to help guide students as they explore the problem.
Schedule:
8:45am Check-in opens
9:00am - 11:50am Mathematical activities
11:50am - 12:00pm Final raffle prizes
12:15pm - 1:00pm Math Talk by Karl Schaffer
**We are looking for math problem solving table workers (undergrads, grad students and faculty all encouraged), contact us if you are interested**
