The Great California SHAKEOUT is an annual event to promote earthquake preparedness throughout California. SF State participates each year as part of the annual Campus Safety Awareness Week activities. Outdoor sirens will sound to signal that people must DROP COVER and HOLD ON! which is the proper way to protect yourself in an earthquake.
