Saxophonist and Professor Hafez Modirzadeh, Grammy-nominated pianist Vijay Iyer and other guests create unique music combining American jazz and Iranian dastgah heritages.
The concert and an accompanying master class will highlight Modirzadeh's unique cross-cultural approach to jazz composition and improvisation.
This concert is presented with San Francisco Performances and the MAP Fund. The MAP Fund is a program of Creative Capital supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
